What is stroke?
  A stroke is the acute neurologic injury occurring as a result of one of these pathologic processes and is manifested either as brain infarction or hemorrhage. Approximately 80% of strokes are due to ischemic cerebral infarction and 20% to brain hemorrhage.

What are the signs?
  The American Stroke Association says these are the warning signs of stroke:
Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body 
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

Prevalency
